1. registration
Registration for a Campus ACADEMY course or online seminar is done via the website form or directly by e-mail. Participants will receive a confirmation of inclusion on the registration list after registration to the e-mail address provided. The registration/booking is thus binding. Invoices will be sent as soon as there are enough registrations for the course. The invoice must be paid within 14 days. If the invoice is not paid on time, this is not considered an automatic cancellation (see point 4). By registering, course participants confirm that they have read and accepted the GTC. Likewise, the exclusion of the right of withdrawal is informed with the registration.
2. services and participation fees
The amount of the course fees is published on the Campus ACADEMY websites and in the respective program flyers. All fees stated there are per person and event date incl. statutory value added tax, unless explicitly stated otherwise. Unless explicitly stated otherwise in the offer, the range of services includes participation in the respective event date, conference documents (if provided), lunch (for all-day events) and beverages during breaks. For online seminars, conference documents and catering are not included. The scope of the service is primarily determined by the course description. Campus ACADEMY reserves the right to make changes, e.g. change the venue, replace announced speakers with others, and make necessary changes to the event program while maintaining the overall character of the event. Accommodation, travel and other costs are not included in the participation fee, unless otherwise agreed. The participation fee is due within 14 days after invoicing.
3. online seminars
Procedure and technical requirements:
4-5 days before the start of the online seminar, participants will receive a message via EMail in which Campus ACADEMY informs them of the link to participate in the online seminar. The entire content of the online seminar is realized using ZOOM. It is responsible for the operation of the online seminar in technical terms. After receiving the access link, the participants receive the access authorization for the agreed seminar duration. For smooth use, we recommend using the Internet browser Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge (in the latest version). In addition, it is the responsibility of the participants to ensure sufficient bandwidth of the Internet connection, to maintain an up-to-date hardware and software environment, and to adjust the speaker or set it to
headphones to fall back on. Campus ACADEMY assumes no liability and does not guarantee that the online seminar can run smoothly within the specific hardware and software environment of the digital media used by the participants (PC, tablet, smartphone).
Participant Obligations / Abuse Caveat:
Participants are forbidden to pass on access to the online seminar to third parties and to tolerate and/or enable third parties to gain knowledge. Besides, own recordings of the seminar are absolutely forbidden. If the speakers agree to a recording, only the Campus ACADEMY or a person authorized by it may make a recording. Any recording will be made available to participants. Campus ACADEMY reserves the right to block access to the online seminar in the event of suspected misuse or significant breaches of contract until the participant has cleared up the suspicion and, if necessary, to terminate the contractual relationship without notice in the event of serious breaches.
Campus ACADEMY reserves the right to cancel or terminate an online seminar for good cause at any time. Good cause shall be deemed to exist, for example, in the event of technical problems that cannot be resolved in a timely manner, an attack on the online seminar system by an outside third party (so-called hacker attack) or other force majeure. Campus ACADEMY will inform participants as soon as possible and provide access to an alternative online seminar. If such a certificate is not available or if the participant refuses to take part in it, Campus ACADEMY will refund the full amount of the participation fees paid. Participants have no further claims.
4. exclusion of the right of withdrawal
By agreeing to the GTC, participants are informed about the exclusion of the right of withdrawal. There is no right of withdrawal according to §355g BGB. The exclusion is based on §312g No. 9 para. 2 BGB, after services that are time-bound are excluded from it.
In addition, §355 of the German Civil Code (BGB) only applies in consumer law. According to §13 BGB, a consumer is “any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are
